Launching your site

When you’re ready to charge real money, work through this checklist before you flip the switch.

1. Confirm your Stripe account is live

Open Settings → Payments and verify the status reads Live mode — Connected. Run a real charge against a small plan (a $1 test tier works well) and refund it once it clears.

2. Lock down your branding

  • Upload your logo and favicon under Settings → Branding.
  • Set your accent color. The default gradient will still work, but most owners prefer a single brand color in production.
  • Write a short site tagline. It surfaces in OG previews and your homepage hero.

3. Set up your custom domain

Point a CNAME from your domain to members.indiemember.com, then add the domain under Settings → Domain. SSL provisions automatically — usually within a minute.

Once your domain shows Active, every member email and checkout link will use it. No more *.indiemember.com subdomain showing up in receipts.

4. Invite a friend as a test member

Send a free comp invite to someone you trust. Have them sign up, browse the resources, and try cancelling. Real members catch UX issues that you, the owner, never will.

5. Announce it

Schedule a launch post on the blog, email your list, and you’re live.
